The blues always come home, and John Brennan knows it well. In "Bring It On Back To Me," his second album for Guitar One Records, the guitarist and singer offers an honest account of the emotional depth and rawness of the genre. From the first chord, Brennan shows that the blues is still alive, evolving without losing its essence.

The album is a sonic journey that pays tribute to classic blues and rock and roll from the mid-20th century. With ten tracks that combine original compositions and covers of classics, Brennan transports us directly to the golden age of blues. His slide guitar playing and use of the tremolo on the amplifier capture the sound texture of the late 1950s, evoking clear influences:

Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker, B.B. King, and, above all, Elmore James

"Bring It On Back To Me" does not seek to reinvent the genre, but rather to honor it with respect and authenticity. The just right reverberation, guitar tones rooted in tradition, and a restrained but effective vocal performance make the album flow seamlessly. Brennan maintains the spirit of the blues without excess or pretension: straight, honest, pure.

More than an album, "Bring It On Back To Me" is a statement of principles.

Brennan doesn't just play the blues; he lives it. In every note, you can sense his connection to the history of the genre, his respect for those who came before, and his willingness to contribute
